Sovereign Grace Baptist Church (SGBC) in Bonham is a new church that was planted by the Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church in Georgetown, Texas. Emmanuel was planted in 2012 and held its first worship service on July 8, 2012. SGBC in Bonham launched this new ministry with its first worship service on February 7, 2021.
Sovereign Grace Baptist Church conducted its Constituting Service on August 13, 2022. Pastor Jeff Massey was elected as Elder.
Jeff Massey
Jeff was saved at the age of twenty while serving in the United States Navy. He is a graduate of Westminster Seminary California, Alliant International University, and the University of Redlands. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies. For the past 6 years, Jeff has been the church planter and founding pastor of Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church in San Bernardino, California. Prior to that, Jeff served for 14 years as one of the pastors at Sovereign Grace Reformed Baptist Church in Ontario, California. Jeff has been married to his wife, Melissa, for 40 years and they have three adult sons and eleven adorable grandchildren. Jeff’s interests include reading books on church history and preaching, engaging in theological research, and taking long walks with Melissa.

Nursery:
While we unable to staff a Nursery at the present time, two Nursery Rooms are available for parents to supervise their own children under age 4.
